Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Are you
interested in becoming a Catholic?
Perhaps you are already a Catholic,
but have not received Confirmation or Eucharist.
You might even be a life-long Catholic having
received all of the sacraments,
and wish to learn more about your faith.
If you answered yes to any of these questions,
you may be interested in the RCIA program.
The RCIA
program is offered at Sacred Heart Parish all year long.
Classes are held on Sundays from 10:00 to 11:30 am in
the library.
RCIA, which stands for "Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults,"
is a program designed to help
those who are not Baptized, and those
Baptized Christians entering into full communtion
with the Catholic Church, and Catholics needing to receive the
sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation.
This process helps candidates inquire, and
prayerfully discern and learn more about the Catholic faith. RCIA
preparation culminates during
the Easter Vigil as the candidates receive the
sacraments and begin their new life of faith.
